Waxing & Hair Removal Wax — frequently asked questions

Hard wax or soft wax?
Hard wax sets and is pulled off without strips, gripping the hair rather than the skin, so it is kinder on the face, underarms and bikini line. Soft wax with strips is faster on large areas such as legs.
What temperature should hard wax be?
Melt beads in a warmer until the wax is the texture of thick honey, usually around 50–55°C on the low setting, and test on the inner wrist before applying.
How long should hair be for waxing?
About the length of a grain of rice, 5 to 6 mm. Too short and the wax cannot grip; too long and it is more uncomfortable, so trim first.
